DOO DAH PARADE ENTRY FORMS AVAILABLE
AT CITY HALL ANNEX AND ON THE INTERNET
OCEAN CITY, N.J. --- Registration forms for the City’s 22nd Annual Doo Dah Parade are now available at City Hall Annex, 901 Asbury Ave., 609-525-9300 or on line at www.ocnj.us. The Parade is set for Sat., April 21 starting at noon.
The parade will again feature a Basset Hound Waddle with over 500 of the floppy eared canines loping along Asbury Avenue and the Boardwalk. Pet owners should register by emailing bassetslave.@comcast.net.
Parade route starts at 6th and Asbury Ave., proceeds to 12th and Asbury, turns east to the Boardwalk and ends at the Music Pier where there is an awards ceremony and Pieasco.
Soupy Sales will preside over the Pieasco an event where participants sit in grandstands and smoosh each other in the face with shaving cream pies, the kind Soupy used on his popular, syndicated TV show.

Parade divisions include Individuals, Brigades described as “five or more deranged indviduals’, impersonators of legendary comedians, Miscellaneous and Whatevers.
Fan clubs normally participate in the event and there will be professional impersonators of Groucho and Harpo Marx, Marilyn Monroe, Lucy, Abbott and Costello and Jack Benny.
Other special guests include Larry Storch, star of F Troop and New York TV and radio personality, Joe Franklin, who also appeared in several Woody Allen movies. Franklin has interviewed the biggest names in show business including Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and Joan Rivers, is a stand up comic and one of New York’s legendary personalities.
He will perform in the comedy show following the Doo Dah Parade at 8 p.m. in the Music Pier. For information, contact Doo Dah East, 609-525-9300.
